We start prepping our land for seeding in mid-summer. This involves tillage, to lessen compaction; leveling, to produce a flat, harvestable surface; and debris removal. Sod can be successfully transplanted in most Michigan conditions. Spring & Fall are widely known to be the best sod installation times due to cooler temperatures and more obtainable moisture. In lower Michigan sod is available starting early Spring (typically Mid-April) until the ground-freeze in early December. Call us for the best Michigan sod available.
